Since the start of the pandemic has your lifestyle grown more or less healthy? I don’t know about you, but I know when I try to think through this question, the answer is complicated. 

Being stuck at home more means I cook more, which is probably a health win, but then I have to confess to enjoying more wine since this whole thing began too. I don’t go to the gym but I have started running more and squeezing in the odd online exercise class. My mental health is definitely down, but I am very fortunate to be able to say not dramatically.

MANILA, Philippines — After four months of strict diet and exercise, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Debold Sinas said yesterday he lost 20 kilos.

Sinas said he has been following the weight loss program of his physician for the past months, which has provided positive results for his health.

“A strict diet, healthy living at bawas inom. Kung uminom man konti lang tapos sleep well,” he said during in an interview on ANC.

The PNP chief said he opted to consult a doctor rather than losing weight on his own as he was worried it could put him at risk because of his age.

Sinas is 55 and will retire from the police service in May 2021.

    MANILA, Philippines — After four months of strict diet and exercise, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Debold Sinas on Thursday said he lost 20 kilograms in body weight.

    “Kasi para mapakita ko sa iyo na I reduced 20 kilos [body weight],” the PNP chief told ABS-CBN News Channel news anchor Karen Davila over “Headstart,” noting that he specifically requested for a face-to-face interview.

    • Researchers found that participants on the diet burned 14% more calories after meals, since the high-carb, high-fiber meals took more energy to digest.

    Charity program seeks to raise diet, nutrition awareness
